Geothermal Ground Source Heat Pumps

Before we recommend a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP or Geothermal Heating) system we encourage our customers to look FIRST at ways that they can reduce their energy use by upgrading the insulation, air-sealing, and windows of their homes. Often this results in an energy efficient home which does not require a GSHP system. However, if a Ground Source Heat Pump makes sense for your home and your site, we look carefully at the type and size of system that is required to ensure that the system is correctly designed for your specific situation. Too big and it will be too expensive to install. Too small and it won’t heat and/or cool your home effectively.

As Missoula’s premier heating and air conditioning contractor, we stake our reputation on providing you with the greatest energy savings and the best possible value for money. Ground Source Heat Pumps are well known for their energy efficiency but also for their generally high installation costs. The initial cost has to be weighed against the potential benefits of saving energy, the ability to both heat and air-condition a home, the compatibility with various heat delivery systems (including radiant floor heating, baseboard hot water heat, and forced-air heating), and the ability to combine a geothermal system with a solar panel hot water pre-heating system

Our heating and cooling system experts can help you navigate the maze of options available and design the most compatible, affordable, efficient, and comfortable system for your home.
