Air sealing is one of the most important aspects of making a building energy efficient. It goes hand in hand with good insulation and is at least as important because, without excellent air sealing, even the best insulation won’t stop a building from being leaky and inefficient.

In this THERMAL IMAGE captured by our Infrared Camera during a BLOWER DOOR TEST, the blue color shows where air is leaking into the structure along a top plate and around a door frame. No matter how thick the insulation is in the rest of the building assembly, it will not be energy efficient as long as cold air can get past the insulation through leaks.
