Passive House

The “Passive House” certification program was developed in Germany as a way to certify SUPER-energy efficient buildings. To qualify, a building has to reduce its energy consumption to a very low level measured in BTU’s per square foot per year. This is sometimes known as “Performance Based Design” and can be a great way to ensure an excellent end product.
